Important Notice

In accordance with the updated COVID-19 Restriction announced yesterday by the Alberta Government, the Museum will be closing to the public effective Dec 13th and will remained closed until at least January 12th 2021.

The Museum will be open the remainder of this week (Dec 9 – 11) with our regular hours. Masks are now mandatory to be worn when visiting.

We hope to do our part in keeping our community, volunteers, and staff safe by pausing public access to our facility.

2021 Call for Artist Submissions

Hello Central Alberta artists and artisans! We’re looking for you for our 2021 Art Gallery exhibition cycle! This coming year we are extending the invitation to artists outside of the immediate area, into Rocky View, Mountain View, Red Deer, and surrounding Counties. We’re now taking submissions to be exhibited in our Pointen or Ing Galleries for the upcoming year! Share with your friends, artist groups and anywhere you think people would be interested. All interested artists and artisans are invited to get in touch with us for more info!

Face-Masks

The Museum is currently selling face masks. Prices for each mask is $15 and $10 for Museum Members. Limited supply, so grab yours fast!

Buy yours at the Carstairs Co-Op, The Farm Table, or The Pantry/Artisan Market. To get the member discount, masks must be bought at the Museum (Credit/Debit cards accepted).

November 27 Covid-19 Update

In accordance with the the restrictions put in place by the Alberta Government on November 27, 2020, the Carstairs Heritage Centre at this time can only accommodate 25% capacity. This works out to 8 people in the Museum itself and 2 people (or one cohort) in the Visitor Centre/Lore Building.

We will be continuing frequent sanitization of high-touch areas, as well as encouraging one-way movement through the Museum. If you are feeling unwell, we ask that you stay home.
