Interim Curator/Manager

Interim Curator/Manager Tamara Moore in The Albertan Newspaper Vol. 27 Issue 46

The Carstairs Heritage Centre is pleased to introduce our Interim Manager/Curator, Tamara Moore. Moore worked as a summer student for the museum this past summer and then took over as Interim Manager/Curator at the start of September. She will remain in the position until the end of February 2021.

Moore has a background in archaeology, having gained her Bachelors in archaeology from Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, and her Master’s in Anthropology from Trent University in Peterborough, Ontario. Her focus has been on the Ancient Maya of Central America, with field work undertaken on settlements in Belize.

Aside from this past summer, Moore has experience volunteering with large and small museums, including the British Museum where she ran a hands-on-artifact education desk. She is excited for this opportunity and the chance it gives her to have more experience in the museum sector.

Feel free to stop in and get to know your Interim Manager.
