The Ing Gallery            

The Ing is the museum’s rotating gallery space.  It hosts museum curated exhibits, touring exhibitions and extended art shows.  When not in use the gallery is available to the community.

December 2019- no exhibits, Museum closed Dec. 21- Jan. 5

January- Carstairs Elementary Students, ‘My Favourite Artifacts’ Projects

March- Aakii isskska’takssin (Woman- thought)- a photography exhibit that examines the theme of ‘story’ within the context of Blackfoot traditional teachings and cultural expression of aakii artists applied in a contemporary context. On loan from the Alberta Foundation for the Arts.

Music at the Museum Concert Series

The series runs September through November and January through April-  usually the last Sunday of the month at 2pm. We strongly recommend calling the museum to reserve your seats in advance.  

Tickets are $20 for adults, free for kids under 12; all proceeds go to the artists.

February 16, 2020- Bradley Bischoff (of The Wardens) and Scott Duncan

March 8, 2020- Heather Blush and The Uppercuts

Reminisce - Guest Speaker Series

This series runs October through November and January through May.  Typically the third Tuesday of the month at 7pm (unless posted otherwise). Light refreshments served.

January 21, 7pm-  Margi & Darryl Sayer “Escaping Haiti”

February 18, 7pm- Les Markham & Guests “History of Scouting in Carstairs”

March 17, 7pm- Rhonda Roedler, “From Grade 3 to Abu Dhabi”
